March 26th, Thursday

Adam was up early this morning. Meaning dark and early at 3 a.m. He needed to get a little extra work done. It will be nice when this budget is up and running according to desires. He heard the grader go by this morning while he was at the computer. So that will be nice to have our side streets plowed now. Later this afternoon we saw a loader plowing our alley. Everything is up and running more and more. It did snow a couple of inches today, too. And colder at 19 degrees.

Matthew has been taking pictures a couple times now. With a digital it's not as big of a deal. Of course I won't post any (you don't need to see me in all my natural beauty) but it is really neat to see the perspective of his world. He's so short, so there's a lot of ceiling shots and bottoms of different things. And quite a few pictures of the inside of the washing machine today. One of his favorite appliances.

Ever since Grandma Doris' birthday, he's been singing 'Happy Birthday.' He's getting better. The first song he's ever tried. He likes doing the actions to different Sunday School songs, but not too interested in singing them so far. He also painted for the first time today. He liked that a lot. And he's very particular about not getting paint on his hands. What a great boy!

Tonight is gardening class for Adam. What a long day he'll have! 3 a.m. to about 10:30 p.m. Last week they studied about entomology, insects. The instructor brought out five insects and asked who could correctly identify them the quickest. Using a type of checklist of identifying factors, Adam did it! He said it was just pretty much what he does at work every day, troubleshooting what is wrong with equipment. He goes down a list of yes and no questions to figure out the problem. So that came in handy.

It was pretty cold today, so we still have all the snow still. Matthew went out to play in it after Daddy left. So that was fun with Morgan.
