Two days off of work for Adam! This is unprecedented. Emergency travel only in Gillette and surrounding area. We could hear snowmobiles around town this morning. Pretty cool. No new snow today. Bright, sunny and gorgeous. Adam was supposed to fly out to Denver this afternoon for a business meeting. Canceled, too.
Adam was up at 6 a.m. and started shoveling paths all through the yard. We quickly became the fun place to be. Terran, Daltan and Morgan came over and played all day. They are so good with Matthew. Later in the day Adam then shoveled out the front drive, piling the snow into a big sledding hill. What a fun day. I looked out and happened to see Adam take a ride down it too! Then Morgan rang the doorbell and made sure I watched.
Adam and Matthew took a drive with our neighbor to the grocery store. So they got to see a little of the snow around town. There was even talk of starting up a John Deere down the way and getting some plowing done. But Adam didn't need to do too much work!
Everyone was out shoveling, getting stuck, and getting shoveled out. Or not at all. A perfect day to be inside too! I was able to make some hot chocolate and stew. Plus, got out in it a little too. Had to experience it for myself. It's up to about 35 degrees and has been melting since Adam was up. There's a prediction for more tomorrow and Thursday. I guess it turned out to be about 30 inches.
