March 16th, Monday

I am finally starting to cook more. Adam had been doing it consistently for three years. Ever since I was pregnant with Matthew, he really started experimenting with all types of dishes. He's always enjoyed cooking and just wanted to actually feel like he could. But of course always having to do it is never too much fun. And I have never felt so good as I do now...and it sure would be nice for him to come home to a hot meal waiting for him every now and then!

Kaitlyn has had a lot of hair ever since she was born. And to try and keep from too much of it getting rubbed off, we have her one some satiny material whenever she has to be laid down. Well, she has gotten to where she loves to grab it and pull it to her face. She really likes the feel of it against her skin and mouth. She makes the happiest sounds while doing this.

Matthew and Adam were out tonight pruning a little more and raking our strawberry and soon-to-be raspberry patch. All the while playing some catch, of course. Looking good out there. It was overcast today, but still up to about 50 degrees. Very comfortable.

Matthew is starting to eat better food more and more! When we moved we ate out a Lot. On the trip up from Texas as well as for the first few months in our little apartment. So he got a taste for things other than vegetables and home cooked meals apparently. So it is a good feeling to see him eat again. But then tonight Daddy asked him, "Want more meat?" "No," Matthew quietly answers. "Some corn?" Again, "no." Then Daddy asks, "what would you like?" And without hesitation, "Birthday cake!"
