A brand new start! 2011 ~ new beginnings and so much to look forward to.
For New Year's Eve we attended a dinner at our church and returned home around 9 pm. The kids went to bed and Adam and I rang in the New Year with a movie. This is the first time in a very long time that we have purposely stayed up. It was very fun.
Adam was off from work for a total of 11 days. It was wonderful for all of us. We did some shopping together, cooking together and Adam spear-headed getting the house more in order. Now our upstairs is officially moved into!! Kaitlyn has a very nice bedroom. No more boxes lining the walls. And all of our clothes are in their proper places. So much easier getting dressed in the morning.
The storage rooms downstairs are also in much greater order. Adam went through boxes and boxes, unpacking many things and organizing everything else. He even found a number of things that we haven't seen since Texas.

Christmas Day ~ 2010
Jesus is the reason for the Season! We are so thankful to give and receive gifts in honor of Him. But mainly, we are so thankful for His gift of Salvation, Mercy, Victory and Love to us.

Thank you Uncle Roger and Aunt Shari for the 'Cutie Pie' apron, all the way from Pennslyvania!

...and for the this train conductor set!
Thank you Pappa and Mema for This cute apron! And the little pink Christmas tree!
Thank you Daddy for this stacking block castle!
So many wonderful gifts. These are the ones that happened to get taken with the camera going. Thank you everyone for the thoughtful gifts you sent all the way to us in Nebraska! It was like having you here with us in a way and made it very special.

Also from Uncle Roger and Aunt Shari. We spent a lot of time with the capsules opening up into different animals and enjoying the 'Pop Rocks' candy!
For lunch we had our friends over to celebrate Christmas.

It has become our tradition to open one gift on Christmas Eve. Grandpa Frank and Grandma Doris were on the phone, making it extra special.

Thank you Uncle Lance and Aunt Jennie!

Matthew already improvising with his mini golf set. He found his own straw and is blowing the balls in.
Our home sweet home.

The office is off to the right when first walking in the front door.

The door to the right leads to the bathroom and on to the stairs and our upstairs bedrooms. Straight ahead, the kitchen and on through to the stairs leading to the back door and down to the basement.

The basement. Off to the right is our laundry room and two extra storage rooms. A lot of wonderful space!!

Adam was off from work for two days before Christmas. He gave us all the great Christmas gift of a clean, picked up home! What a man.
Then Adam gave me my Christmas gift - he let me know that he had all of next week off from work! So 11 days of all of us together. We have never had that before! Only time off like that when we all go to visit everyone back in Montana. We ended the night with watching some outdoor lighting displays on different homes online.
