June 11, 2011 ~ Saturday

Off to the Omaha Children's Rose Theatre to watch 'Sound of Music.' Annually Kiewit buys an evening at the theatre and we can all go at a nice price. So Adam saw quite a few familiar faces and we got to sit with friends. A very fun night and a very well done play!

They had a room where Kaitlyn and I could go off & on and simply watch over telecast. So nice! We stayed f0r the entire play and Matthew sat through it all!

Just across the train tracks from Plattsmouth main street. Everything is officially closed.

June 7, tuesday

Oooh, up to their necks now.

There's three boats parked here for the water plant to the wastewater treatment plant. Daily they need supplies, but this is insufficient and the sewer unfortunately gets dumped into the river every now and then.

In Iowa and Omaha we hear how they're having the same problem. Pretty stinky, very yuck. In eastern Montana - the same problem. So unfortunate.

There's a road on the left of the picture, along with the electrical lines.

Here's the closed road going to the river. The two yellow things there in the water running across the road are fire hydrants. At the first one, a fish jumping! On a regular basis we saw these fish jumping and jumping upstream trying to get up over the road. When they made it, we could watch them swimming a straight path across the road to the other side! So surprising. They're going over to our 'Plattsmouth Lake' which is normally a corn field. At the second fire hydrant is a sandhill crane.

A pretty arrangement from Omaha's Farmers Market via Naomi.

Showing Daddy some projects.
