Today I went on my first long shopping trip without Adam. Yes, it's been 5 months, but he has been so nice about doing it. I often say, "Adam is Awesome!" and fully mean it every time. Our trip went great, too. So thankful. We went early in the morning, saw two of our friends there and had fun with it.
We even purchased some new rain boots and sandals for Matthew. All day long he loves to put on and take off his shoes. So this was very special for him. And we had a really nice rain shower this morning, so he tried out those boots right away. In the afternoon he was so excited to come tell us that it was raining Again.
Tonight Adam went straight outside again and cleaned out our gutters. He also cleaned out our neighbor's. He also knocked down all of the wasp nests. They were pretty bad last summer. We have seven in our sun room now to play with. The picture of Matthew on the ladder is him saying, "up high!" As Daddy came to the lower roof, he brought Matthew up with him. Matthew loved it. He is very good at our attic ladder and the ladder at the library loft - so this was far within his comfort zone. Honestly, we haven't seen him really out of his comfort zone yet! He is one fearless little boy. Adam said he just loved it up on the roof. He is definitely Not afraid of heights.
Tonight at supper Matthew instigated our mealtime prayer! We forgot and he made us so proud as he grabbed our hands and waited until we had it. A lot of times we hold hands as we say it. What a good boy.Today Kaitlyn shook her rattle for the first time. She really thought that was great. Up and down and up and down. Pretty big deal for her.
