Tonight Adam went to his monthly meeting towards becoming a Master Gardener. All the classwork is finished, so now he just needs to put in 40 hours of community service. 'Til then he is considered a trainee. Tonight they had a dedicated 4-H speaker talk on the subject of parliamentary procedure. They want meetings to be more efficient with everybody more knowledgeable on it. There has been a few guys going through all of this, but tonight it was Adam in the minority of a roomful of about 20-25 women. So he kind of got the feeling that it might be like this to the end as the other guys are skipping these last meetings. He also has the feeling that he just might be volunteered for all of the heavy work. But that's fine. He's really been enjoying getting this fun education on the great outdoors. On Wednesday morning he happened to mention it on the way to work. Apparently Tom thought it was pretty funny and brought it up at the 'start-up' meeting. So Adam got to talk about his being the 'token male' with the gardeners to his coworkers.
Today was beautiful and sunny at about 70 degrees. So nice to put on cooler clothes. We only have so many long sleeved shirts that we feel like wearing again and again. It was a great day. It sure is fantastic when taking a nap is a normal occurrence. It is especially evident with Matthew. When he eats balanced meals and has an afternoon nap it makes all the difference to how the evening will be. It is so enjoyable for everybody when his emotions are balanced and his little body isn't feeling stressed. Therefore, he's happy and ready to happily participate with others.
It's great seeing how Kaitlyn wakes up so cheerfully. She will contentedly lay in bed until we come to get her. And then she is the most talkative when she is so rested. Her baby chatter is so sweet. She is such a soft, little cuddly girl. Whenever Matthew would wake up we immediately knew it. He would shout out for us to come get him. And not in a bad way. He's simply a very vocal person and I didn't need a baby monitor. He always let me know. I would keep it on so I could hear when he'd start to get restless and I would have the chance to take care of whatever he needed. That way, maybe he'd sleep a little more!
