*Say goodbye to Grandma Jo
*Visit her home
*Back to Gillette

We had a very nice breakfast and off we go. Adam has had four workdays off and tomorrow he goes back to work. But first we must stop over to visit Grandma Jo at the Hi-Line Retirement home. She had a good visit with the doctor earlier that morning and is happy they are in agreement on what needs to be done. Not much! Then we stop by her house to see it one last time. Dad is coming over tomorrow to paint her deck. He has quite a few plans on what he wants to work on. Just to freshen it up. And then things will start to be sorted through eventually. So it's nice to be able to look at it one last time as we've always known it. So many good memories here. One verse she has always had on her desk is, "A merry heart doeth good like medicine." She has referred to this many times over the years. She is very good at always saying how we need to laugh every day. Usually right in the middle of a good laugh herself. And she is always so good at sending cartoon clippings, or "Have a Good Day" tracts with her faithful letters. Also on her desk is a calendar of daily quotes. On her last day here, March 9th, it appropriately reads, "Mental sunshine makes the mind grow, and perpetual happiness makes human nature a flower garden in bloom." (Christian D. Larson) Goodbye Dutch blue kitchen, goodbye "Watch your head" sign on the stairs going to the basement, family and friends wall collage in the hallway, Grandpa's little gardening shed, goodbye little sun room, fireplace and little stone house. Thank goodness we still have the sprightly, sweet, petite woman that made you the cozy little home and place of love we will always remember.
