Our good friend, Angela Mueller of Plattsmouth, offered to take pictures back in September. It took me this long to get over to her house, a short distance across town, and take her up on her offer. We had a professional photo shoot. She has an art studio and paints on life size dolls. They are beautiful and very realistic. Thank you so much, Angela, for these pictures of William!!
We've been attending a new church the past few months. We had been going to Bellevue, but the extra distance made it a little tough to remain consistent. Now we go to First Baptist Church right across town and really like it. It is the friendliest church we've ever attended! It really reminds us of the churches we grew up in. Matthew loves Sunday School and Kaitlyn bravely went to her own class for the first time. Each time we pick her up she is so proud of the things she has made and really likes her teacher. Each week it gets easier and easier.
November 27 we became members at First Baptist! We had been talking about it and yet, on the spur of the moment went forward at the end of the service - as is the custom here. To be members, one must be born again and baptized by full immersion. Well, I had been baptized in Omaha at Christ Community Church when we attended there about a year and a half ago. Adam went behind the scenes and did it today! The pastor's son baptized him up behind the stage where the whole congregation could watch. Since it is a fairly new church building, their water temperature gauge still isn't quite working as well as it could be. Come to find out, the automatic start didn't come on at the right time this morning. It was brisk! But Adam was a trooper and we couldn't even tell from down below.
Services are online, but his baptism didn't quite make it in. Too bad.
