Beautiful Winter

We had snow for two weeks this winter, and when it melted...that's been it! It even got up in the 50's at times. Christmas day did not have a speck of snow. And as adults, it was gorgeous!! But Matthew and Kaitlyn don't mind, either. They always have something fun planned for the day no matter what!

William Frank, 3 1/2 mo. old. Such a gift.

On December 1st, he "found" his toes. He kept looking and looking at them, so intently. Quickly after this, a couple days he started grabbing for things. This was all just before he turned 3 months old. Three weeks later he grabbed the little mobile toy on his hammock as I was lowering him down into it. It was so quick! And right on target! He didn't let go. He laughed and was so proud of himself, or I was anyway!

Our 15 year old friend, Grace, is coming again on fridays to help with the kids. She works with them on different fun/educational things while...the house gets sparkling clean!Wonderful!

Just after he turned three months old, William was just staring and staring at the glider chair material. There's not much pattern! It's mainly light blue. But the little there is, he really likes looking at it. And he really likes toys. Baby toys are so much fun! Matthew wanted people and was not very interested in them. Kaitlyn did a little more - but William really enjoys them.

Matthew and Kaitlyn put on most of the ornaments. Kaitlyn especially enjoyed finishing the job! She really liked loading one bough with about 5 - 6 of them!

These necklaces were fun to make from Aunt Debbie and Blake. Happy Birthday, Kaitlyn!

Kaitlyn's room has had this little tree all year...as a nightlight. Now it's getting spruced up for Christmas, too!

Bath time! William is the best. He never cries and never makes me finish up before he's all clean. Amazing. It's like we're on vacation, or something.

Matthew and Kaitlyn are always a part of bath time. Which helps make it fun for William. We definitely move through the house as one unit - all the time.

All clean and still full of smiles. Nothing like having big brother's attention!

"Look at me!" is still the favorite phrase. He has many feats around the bathtub too, of course. It is wonderful, because he is always ready to get up high for anything when I need a helping hand or into some tight place. Or simply run to the end of the house for something in the other room. All a wonderful challenge to him.

Kaitlyn really likes to run a lot, too! Lately they say, "My heart is beeping! It's beeping so fast!"

This year Adam and I went to two Christmas parties! The first time since I (didn't yet realize) I was pregnant with Matthew back in Texas. It was wonderful. One was with the mining group and the other was with a company that works closely with Kiewit. Two nights in a row!!
We were actually going to go to a third, with the equipment group, the week earlier. But we got snowed in. Well, our baby sitter did, anyway.

All thanks to William! He is so easy going and didn't show any stress from it all. We had the nicest young woman from church come. She was very experienced and we had no worries the entire time. What a nice Christmas gift.
They were both in the city. One at a popular, new, upscale apartment complex in downtown Omaha. And the other at the Jim Palmer golf course clubhouse/restaurant in west Omaha. Two wonderful nights out.
