Harvest Time

Adam was in Gillette August 1 - 2 and now back home again. So wednesday night, the 3rd, off we go to the garden. What beautiful weather!! The first day in the 70's after previous high 90's, and it felt like "vacation" as Adam put it. No mosquitoes, even! Or pesky gnats! We had such a good time.

The tomato plants are taller than Adam. Over 6 feet tall. So with higher trellis next year...we are curious.

These sunflowers must be so tasty, but they came up strong anyway. The first month of growth, they were pretty much little leafless stumps. The rabbits really liked them. And here they are! Pretty powerful plant.

Matthew gave himself a little trim the other day.
Oops. This is the second time. And both times, he's saved the clipping in a little baggy. Just like Mommy does (for baby books : ).

I haven't been here in a while, so I was strolling around looking at everything and taking pictures when we first arrived. From the second we came - not Adam! He worked the entire time. Are you tired of me always commenting on him regarding this subject? Sorry. After 12 years of marriage, he still amazes me. He has Focus and doesn't turn to the right hand or to the left. Period. Getting 'er done.

And look at our little baby coming! Here is a good picture of him..or her : ) 32 weeks and counting. Everything is going so good, praise the Lord!

This little baby is a mover! We can actually See the movement on quite a regular basis. Pretty fun. Now we are just trusting that the proper position of, head down, will be maintained!

Found a watermelon!

Come on carrots - Grow!

There are peach and apple trees all around the yard here. Kaitlyn and Matthew enjoyed them very much. Never knew 'hard' peaches tasted so good! There are also mulberry trees all around and still producing ripe berries! This must have been for a good three months now! So delicious.

This is a bushel basket and 5 gallon bucket full of tomatoes. Some eggplants, onions, perfect looking jalapenos, and bell peppers on top. In the blue bags are the pumpkins and watermelons.


Sleep eventually comes at our house these past couple of months.

Eastern Nebraska definitely has spiders. This was an especially big web right outside of our back door. Adam said I could spritz it with water so it would show up better. But, well, maybe another time : ) Time to get those two little smilers to bed! Let alone Adam! He is up at 5 a.m. and usually in bed around 11.
AND, he worked out tonight after dinner and before we went to the garden. It is a hard workout! Phew. It reminds me of basketball camp a little bit. High intensity in a short period of time. And he feels it.
