Arbor Day Farm

Looking at the little purple flowers. We've never said anything...and they never pick any flowers, except for dandelions. They are such good kids!
The apple trees were in blossom this weekend of April 10th, so we came down to the Arbor Day Farm. It is just south of Plattsmouth and off of Nebraska City. This is the place where we can get our official little trees to plant on Arbor Day, or any day! http://www.arbordayfarm.org/

It's been beautiful seeing the area just beginning the spring season this April 2010. We were so pleased to see views of the land through the bare winter trees when we first arrived. Then we were able to see leaves coming out just days later and flowers blossoming profusely. Now it's mid-May and Nebraska is in its full green! May has had quite cool temperatures.

There's trails to hike, a fun adventure park to explore and of course all of the fields of different trees growing. It's actually not that big. But we came at the end of the day and only did a couple of things. So next time we look forward to seeing the rest.

Just our second weekend here and you can see the leaves on the trees just coming in.

"Look Mommy! I'm just using my fingers to hold Daddy and Kayen up!"
After settling in a little bit these first two weeks, today we also went and looked at a rental country home. Sure was peaceful! We felt like putting out our lawn chairs and staying there to watch the sunset! Beautiful place.
