Happy St. Patrick's Day!

We always like to celebrate the Irish-ness in us! Thank you great-grandpa. It's always so good remembering the history of this great country, Ireland, and the Christian revival brought by Father Patrick.

Adam has our camera so he could take pictures of the properties there around Omaha. But we have a disposable camera that we used here and will try to get some pictures again before too long.

Matthew has a cute hat that says, 'Kiss me, I'm Irish." And Kaitlyn wore a light green top. We had a very nice day. Matthew was outside a lot of the afternoon. He even got to play baseball with his neighbor friend, Kenna. And Kaitlyn got her 7th tooth in! So now that makes three little teeth on the bottom.

Adam actually was at the downtown Kiewit University today, not the Plaza. It is a conference center with larger rooms and can facilitate all of the people involved in their SAP meetings. There is a few SAP people there, representing the computer program Kiewit wants to implement throughout the company. But the main consultants are a from the company, Optimal. They are trained specifically for the purpose and performing the necessary interviews. People from TIC are also there, an industrial company Kiewit owns from Colorado. TIC already uses the SAP program. Therefore, they are already experienced in it.

Today they will be going over the maintenance departments and what they require to do business. So Adam will be more involved today. He's been meeting many new people and enjoying work.

First day at Kiewit Plaza

Adam flew to Omaha tuesday. He drove around with a realtor looking at some places that we are interested in. That evening he had a business meeting and dinner concerning the new SAP computer program.

March 17 is Adam's first day at his new job in Kiewit Plaza. It's in the center of Omaha, a tall building standing with all the other tall banks and business offices there in the skyline. No jeans or hazard orange vests here.

He'll be home this weekend and work a few days again at Buckskin Mine next week. Then we'll be flying out for Roger and Shari's wedding.

Spring is here! With a few snow showers in between.

Kaitlyn is so steady on her feet! She walks all around the yard with no trouble at 15 months. She is very good at learning to stay on the sidewalk, too. These little shoes have some jewelry on the laces that make noise as she walks. She enjoys this very much.

She also had her first little bang haircut a week ago. She is so good at imitating us in our everyday things. I'll be on the phone and look over to see her expertly holding her little Cinderella phone too. She'll put on lotion just like me and wants to eat all the 'big' food like we do at meals. She is also very good at imitating many of the words and sounds we say. Even burps. Such a good little girl.

She has such a quiet, soft way about her. Daddy always calls her Pinkie. I think it's because she's always dressed in pink!

Matthew has had his scooter in the house all winter. He rode back and forth all the time. Even took it upstairs at times and asked if he could take it down town a few times. So nice to be outdoors! And with no ice.

For a few months now, he always asks us to say, "On your mark, get set, Go!" We did this many times today, also. He also did some sprints this way. He crouches down at the sidewalk crack very expertly when waiting to begin his sprint.
Matthew is so energetic in all that he does. As one woman said, "Oh yes, I saw the little gleam in his eye and spring in his step right away. He is enthusiastic for life."
He enjoys going out in the back yard still to use his golf clubs. They are just the right length for him as Daddy cut them down just right and put some hand grips on them.

All winter we've been using balloons and foam balls in the house to play baseball. This past weekend, Daddy and Matthew went out and hit a few hard ones. What a nice change!

After watching Matthew all winter shoveling snow, she finally got her turn at the shovel!

They also played in the sandbox a couple days after these pictures. It was Kaitlyn's first time. It is the best they have ever played together. The outdoors are so wonderful! Nothing like good, unsupervised fun.

Ever since Matthew turned 3 1/2 years old, he can count to 10 and sing the alphabet song very well.

Right now he really likes the shows, "Handy Manny" and "Clifford the Big Red Dog."

He also really likes carrot sticks and broccoli dipped in blue cheese dressing.

An early weekend morning. We all like these!

They are humming with the vibrations of the spin cycle. It was a little off balance, so the extra bumpiness was very appreciated.

New glasses! Helps with the computer work.

Out to visit Daddy and bring him some birthday cookies. He has been cleaning out his office and passing on duties and information to other co-workers. Not much time left here at Buckskin!

Matthew and Daddy went out to the shop and talked to some of the guys and looked the equipment over.

Won't be driving up to our house for too much longer!

Time for travels

Kaitlyn likes her new fluffy winter coat so much that she will come and ask to put it on.

Daddy is off to Omaha Feb 15-17 for a meeting regarding the new software Kiewit is planning on implementing. When he arrived on tuesday, the 15th, he was promptly offered a job there with computer information management! We are so proud of you Adam. What a fun challenge to look forward to.

Getting ready for Uncle Roger and Shari's wedding!

Adam is off again, this time to Denver for Kiewit's District meeting. A number of workers from all of the mines around the nation are there. At two of the meetings, Adam's name has already come up. One for his transfer to Omaha headquarters and the second one for honoring him for his employment of five years.

Adam might need one more trip to Omaha before we head to Pennsylvania for Roger's wedding. We are becoming regulars at the airport again! We miss you Daddy!

Be My Valentine

Matthew is quite skilled.

Kaitlyn has two more teeth now. So four up on top and two below. And two more on the bottom sure are close to coming in any time!

A Valentine care package from Grandpa Frank and Grandma Doris. Thank you so much. Matthew and Kaitlyn enjoyed it all.
