Our oven went out yesterday, but I totally forgot! We had the batter all mixed and the pan greased, and then I remembered. Daddy saved the day by picking one up on the way home! Plus three gifts for three cute kids.
Grandma Doris sent some gifts a little earlier and they were already quickly opened! Thank you Grandma and Grandpa!
I'm still adjusting to getting back from Montana and starting school. So a big celebration...was conveniently in Malta a few weeks earlier with Blake!

They call each other, "Superboy and Supergirl," when they play sometimes.

Going downtown to be in our Plattsmouth Harvest Parade!
They received first prize in the children's bike category!
The theme for this year's harvest festival was "Red, White and Blue."
Erin's daughter, Laney, from our co-op.
This festival is three days long and the longest/oldest running one in Nebraska. The parade tomorrow is even bigger, it takes about 1 1/2 hours to watch it all. Marching bands come from around the state. It's really fun. And So many activities going on all through the days. Right here in our little town.

The kids had a dentist appointment on the 18th, and had a very good report. So nice!
A homeschool class at the zoo. Learned about animal habitations. Sept. 14, friday
Tracy and her son, Zachary, (in the stripes) also were there. So that made it fun.
We covered a lot of ground! We went to a couple classrooms, through the aquarium and behind the scenes there. I didn't realize how physical it was going to be!

Adam had a lot of business trips in September! First he was in Nebraska City Aug. 13-17; then to Gillette, Sept. 4-6; here he is in these pictures at Jackson, Wyoming and on to Salt Lake City, Sept. 10-13; then to the Mine Exp in Vegas Sept. 23-25; which was cut short so he could drive to Kansas City the 26th-27th. And no travel plans as to date! Now we've got him! (Until he goes to Australia!)

Field trip to an orchard south of town! September 19 ~ Kimmel's Orchard
We are in a preschool/kindergarten co-op with four other families! Here at the orchard, our friend, Tracy, had a lesson prepared about the cycle of an apple tree.
There was little velcro on this tree trunk that the kids took turns with. We met Tracy at storytime at the Plattsmouth library, just before leaving for Montana. She didn't forget us! And she got a group of us together for a co-op every wednesday. It is wonderful!
Here is Erin with her son, John Paul, in the hat. Zachary is one of Tracy's little boy's - she has three kids. They cut an apple in half to find the 'star' after a story treasure hunt.
