We actually celebrated early, on the 3rd. So Adam could have a good nights sleep on the 4th and go back to work easier the next day. It was great - our neighbors came out with us and enjoyed the fireworks, too.
It was hard to slow Matthew down. He Really likes fireworks!

Daddy out did himself again. I didn't realize how much he was going to come home with. It's much more fun with an enthusiastic 5 year old spurring him on!

The bigger the toy, the happier William is. It's neat to see what he's been eyeing. He'll watch Matthew and Kaitlyn play with something. And when he see's his chance, he is So Happy to get it and have his turn.

Saving the sidewalk from those black 'snakes.'

Now that's how you get 'er done!

The snap 'pops' that Matthew and Kaitlyn can throw themselves. They really like those.

...and the party 'popper.'

The extra long 'sparklers!' We were one of the very few states that didn't have a 4th of July burn ban.

On the 4th we went to our church's special evening.

Ok, can't always be happy for a holiday pic.
Getting ready for a nap.

I can head upstairs with William when it's time, and whisper to Kaitlyn on the way, "come up when you're ready." And she will!! What a Doll.

....wait, what a SuperGirl!

Adam checked off one of his things on his Bucket List! He got to play softball this year!
I've never seen him play. It was a treat. He hasn't played since high school, and right off the bat, he's one of the best players on the team. Home runs and everything.

Boy, was he sore. It went for about 7 weeks.

Unfortuanately, this put a damper on things! Quick! Keep scrolling. Yuck.

Watching Daddy pitch.

William is totally silent when he's outdoors. Translation: Loves it.
