Ready for some gardening!
Looking over the tomatoes.
Peppers getting bigger....
and weeding around them.
After rototilling a few days ago, Adam wanted to weed around the plants a little more.
Kaitlyn always likes picking the peas. She's bringing the big bucket over for me to sit on and put them in, little sweetheart.
Checking the moisture level of the sweet potatoes. Just planted them yesterday from when they came in the mail.

Good day's work! Now he's off to Texas for OneIM! July 11th Adam few into Dallas and drove down to Walnut Creek Mine. He gave his new 'Prezi' presentation to the administrative group. He talked to the mine manager, chief engineer, human resources and a few others. Afterwards he spent the night in Bryan at our old historical downtown motel. Then Adam spent one more day at Walnut Creek giving the prezi to another group and getting some good opinions and feed back. Nice seeing all of the familiar faces and having some good hometown barbecue. That evening he then drove to the San Antonio area to visit the San Miguel mine July 13th. The prezi went really well as it was his third time and it had the impact he wanted it to have. He was really pleased with the contacts he made there. On thursday the 14th, after four long days, he flew out of San Antonio and back home!
July 14, thursday
Matthew came and told me that we needed to make a sign.
Here it is verbatim. He really emphasized, "right now," three times.
It's with one of his best ever signatures.
Then he waited out by the mailbox.
When Daddy saw it that night, he had a good idea. A lemonade stand! That evening we really did get two men stopping in because they saw it! They were from our church out on visitation...and added our home to their list. They said they saw it from the street. So nice.

The next day we posted lemonade signs and got everything ready. Matthew started out right away by taking glasses over to our neighbors one at a time. He was then very faithful sitting right there at his and Kaitlyn's little table for about three hours. It was our first quite hot day in a long time and he had to change his shirt three times...because they just kept getting wet! It was during the general lunch time and he had six customers. He was totally recharged at the end of the day, even with the big heat. Especially when we had advertised it as free, and he had received $1.75.
Adam and I generally recharge by sitting quietly and having some alone time. Not Matthew! Talking with people one-on-one does it every time!
