July 23 - 31

Debbie and Blake made it home safe, July 23rd, in just one and a half days. Good job, Driving Pro Debbie! Even when they were slowed down in North Dakota with golf-ball sized hail. They were thankful to find refuge below an underpass, with 15 other cars. Later they heard other motorists say they were in baseball-sized hail - and no protection in sight.

The following weekend Debbie went with a friend to her hometown in Plentywood. Again, she found herself in a hailstorm. We're really trusting that eastern Montana is calming down and will only give weather of blessing from now on!

After temperatures in the 100s last week, here, it has been gorgeous this past week!

We are doing well after having our wonderful company! Such a good time with many good memories.

Adam flew off to Atlanta, Georgia sunday evening, the 24th. He had a full agenda monday of solution managers training. It was intensive. With a lot of late night flights, delays and some misplaced baggage, he and three other co-workers wearily made it home and were back to work tuesday!

Adam also started a new workout program, the Insanity workout. It runs 60 days with a suggested meal plan. Our Superman started on sunday; after church and before his flight. It is reminiscent to the beginning of football practice. Ouch.

Matthew is his workout buddy. He is right there the entire time, getting anything Daddy may need and encouraging him to keep going. Adam does it after work, now. It runs for 45 minutes. In the middle, Matthew and Kaitlyn usually run and get their workout shoes on, and try a few moves.

On monday, the 25th, Matthew and Kaitlyn went over to our neighbors to play for a few hours. Kaitlyn stayed there with all of the boys while I came home...wow. The second time now. Once swimming with Aunt Debbie and now once with our wonderful neighbors, Caleb, J.D. and their Mom, Karla. They swam in their little kiddy pool, had lunch, read books and played.

Though, she has also been going to Sunday School all by herself, too! I must mention that also! She is really growing up. But we still take it slow and don't push it.

On thursday, the 28th, the kids and I went for a prenatal visit. It's official, we've finally decided on our midwife and place of birth. Praise the Lord! It is only about two months away, so this is very good news. It was a hard decision mainly because I didn't want to find a new partner in this momentous time in life, and again research and understand our new state's laws regarding it all. I really miss you Toni and Jeanne!! It's generally, overall, a non-supported, emotional and vital decision that I avoided. But of course Adam supports it 100% and every midwife we might talk to supports it, and that is very encouraging. We found certified nurse-midwife, Heather Ramsey, a few months ago and have been visiting her for appointments. But she is in the process of opening Nebraska's first ever birthing center and our due date is about the same time as her grand opening. So the birth won't be at home, and possibly, even in a hospital. Yet, it is the most progressive hospital in Nebraska, which is such a blessing...so we're not going to be at home for our third little one's birth. God doesn't care where our little baby is born. He'll be there and taking care of everything. And wherever Heather is at, when the time comes, that is where we are going to go. The Bellevue Medical Center or the Midwife's Place. They are only eight miles away, right next door to each other, and all I have to do is show up! They take care of all the details that we have in the past and Heather is wonderful. The kids like her and we like her and most importantly, she likes us!

This is the best pregnancy ever! It is so nice being done with all the new-Mom fears and relax and enjoy the nine months. Especially with God's goodness and our awesome Vitazan supplements he has brought into our lives. Since Kaitlyn was born, they have introduced a prenatal supplement. During her pregnancy, I seriously searched for an over-the-counter prenatal supplement to take. To save a little money; but mainly, to make it easier on my vitamin taking schedule. But nothing came close to the recommended dosages while being sensitive to the ones to avoid. I was so surprised. I searched and searched the web...I finally found one. But it only incorporated a few supplements that I just as easily could get from trusted Vitazan. So it was such a great discovery to see their fairly newly introduced prenatal supplement. Now, many things are included within it and I don't have to have so many different bottles on hand.

If you, or anyone you know, is pregnant or breastfeeding, I highly recommend looking into their full supplement regiment. It gives the mother and baby everything they need. For this time in life is such a drain on a mother's mineral supply, let alone both mother and child's heightened nutritional needs. Nothing is lacking in these supplements - and therefore no aches or pains or low birth weights or pale cheeks... What a blessing!

And as my Mom found out, it doesn't matter how long it's been since you've had children! If you've had children, your body is still most likely depleted of essential nutrients and minerals. Taking their multi-mineral supplement will do wonders for you! Plus pregnancy puts a big strain on our kidneys and liver. If you've never had these filters cleaned, look into it! That will also do wonders for your energy level, let alone your quality of life. On a note of caution; many cleanses are very harsh and do more damage than help. So carefully research it, before taking one. I'd be happy to help if you'd like, via the microbiologist/nutritionist, Clark Tweet of Remedies.

Got a new blender, yeah! The last one is very missed, but Adam found a great deal on a Vita Mix. It is great! After scrubbing it up and checking it over thoroughly, Adam blended up our first smoothies.

Hmmm. How does it taste Matthew?

Adam was up early saturday, the 30th, and picked veggies for three hours! Most of it was down low at the base of the two long rows of tomato plants picking little cherry tomatoes. What a man. It happened to work out that he was scheduled for a chiropractic appointment later that morning. Perfect. Though sunday morning...ouch!

Bell peppers in the back, jalapenos, cucumbers, kale and green beans.

Turnips, squash, beets, and Kentucky green beans. We only have so much counter space. The tomatoes took up all of this room, plus a little bit more, after they were washed.

Guess what....

Superman is now canning!

July 23 & 24.

Pickled tomatoes...some of them with red hot chili peppers from our Gillette garden.

Good little helper snapping the beans for pickling...and taking some needed breaks, too.

Pickled jalapenos.

Using our new blender for some tomato sauce.

This was all saturday, after Adam gardened and mowed his coworkers yard. He decided it was probably ok that he take a day off from his workout. (Friday he mowed ours.) Sunday he snapped more beans for 'regular' canning and peeled and cut up turnips. Nicely sitting down, watching some cartoons with Matthew in the cool basement.

Matthew's vocabulary is so fun to listen to! "Mom," he seriously says, coming up to me a couple weeks ago, "there's something I need to address..." Last week he exclaimed four times to Kaitlyn as they were jumping on the cushionless couch, "I'm exhaust!" On the fifth time he said, "I'm exhausted!" There's one other big word he's been saying that I can't quite remember right now... Phew!

He also just got a harmonica from our neighbor, Douglas. Such a great instrument! It honestly sounds good from the first time played...unlike the piano or violin, for example. He really likes it and makes good music all through the house these last few days.

Kaitlyn is having some pretty big firsts lately. Last week when Debbie and Blake were here, she just jumped on her tricycle and started peddling away as if she always had done it! After they left, she hopped on the elliptical machine and started pumping away on it, no problem. Just like Matthew. She was so pleased and kept cheerfully saying, "Hi!" And yesterday at the store, the 30th, there was a little bike with training wheels sitting out, seemingly so available. She hopped right on, and with a helpful beginning push, off she went. Doing such a good job!
