Well, a big snowstorm turned out to be a pleasant surprise. So here we are in Gillette celebrating Easter! (On saturday, April 3.)

We returned from the Pennsylvania wedding March 30th, tuesday. It was an early flight from Akron, Ohio where we had driven with Debbie, Blake and Uncle Don. We had a rental car that we dropped off there in Akron and Don drove Debbie and Blake in his car. We all had a good drive from Centerfield, PA to Akron and then Don drove back home to Luzerne, in upstate New York. He kept thinking that he would just drive a little bit further, then a little bit further as it got darker and darker. He ended up driving the entire way and got home real late. But there's nothing like your own bed after a long get-away!
We said our tearful good byes to Debbie and Blake in Denver and off they flew to Billings. Awesome Seth picked us up and it was so good to see his familiar face in the big crowd. We were getting a little bit tired and it was such a comfort for him to be taking care of us like that. Then off we drove to Gillette from his home. We arrived at about 3 p.m. to our nice clean house. (Almost ready for the real estate market!) It was hard trying to explain to Matthew and Kaitlyn how we were going home...and yet we weren't.

It was set for Adam to go to work in Omaha the following monday, April 5th, after our vacation. So we had two days to unpack, get the house in showing condition for prospective buyers, pack for apartment living in Omaha and finally drive there. We had the house pretty good before the wedding trip, but thank goodness for bad weather all the way to Rapid City on Good Friday! What a blessing. So Adam emailed to let his new boss know that he'd be a day late.

This ended up giving us 4 days instead of 2 to get ready! Double the time! Since we wouldn't be able to get in to our furnished apartment in Omaha until monday, we ended up leaving early, early Easter morning instead of Good Friday. We drove and spent the night (somewhere? can't remember now) and then drove to Omaha on monday, April 5th.
It was so nice not to have to get right back into the car so fast and be home for two extra days. Adam was able to rest up a little bit more - as with all of us. Get healthy again, more or less, plus - Kaitlyn got another tooth in! Her 8th one on Good Friday. So this is also very beneficial to easier traveling.
